Hosted buyer programme

The hosted buyer programme includes a complimentary economy return air ticket from selected destinations within Europe to Ljubljana on Adria Airways flights, overnight accommodation, airport and other transfers, meals, networking opportunities, personal itinerary of appointments, fam trips and the Conventa support team before and during the show. Adria Airways is a member of Star Alliance and offers following direct flight connections: Amsterdam, Belgrade, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Manchester, Moscow, Munich, Paris, Podgorica, Pristina, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tirana, Vienna, Zurich.

Due to its diversity, the region of South East Europe is very appealing to the meeting industry planners who are looking for something new and different. “The region as a whole provides a number of original experiences and prides itself on its warm hospitality. At the same time, it is steeped in history and features magnificent wildlife and scenery”


Qualifying criteria
To qualify for the hosted buyer programme meeting planners must be agency, association or corporate buyers who are responsible for planning, organising, recommending or making financial decisions for events outside their home country. Furthermore meeting planners have to commit to attending ten individual appointments per day at the show with exhibitors of their choice.

To be accepted as Hosted buyer, applicant should meet strict qualifying criteria. The organiser may contact the applicant and/or appropriate meetings suppliers to verify the information on her/his application.

Conventa organiser will organise appropriate flights or train travel for hosted buyers, using the information supplied in the application.
The organiser will supply the hosted buyer with a return economy flight from an agreed point of departure to Ljubljana either as a direct flight or connecting flights on Adria Airways flights. Hosted buyers will receive travel details via email.

Each hosted buyer who is arranging his own travel arrangements will be reimbursed travel costs upon presentation of an invoice.



Ljubljana provides a good range of accommodation facilities of all categories and types, currently totalling around 2,500 hotel rooms (4-star and 3-star hotels). Several hotels are centrally located and are either within walking distance or up to 3 km from the Old Town, the key institutions or the major congress and exhibition venues in the city.

Conventa organiser will book hotel accommodation for hosted buyers in official Conventa hotels in Ljubljana. Hosted buyers will receive their accommodation details via email.



Conventa is taking place at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, Dunajska cesta 18, Ljubljana, Slovenia. Detailed information about the location can be found here. Trade show is to be held in the Marmorna Hall on ground floor.

On 17 and 18 January 2017, Conventa invites the participants to attend Welcome reception and the Official reception held on different locations in Ljubljana. The organiser will provide local transfers within the Conventa programme.
