St. Martin’s Celebration is an integral part of Maribor’s cultural heritage, marking the onset of the new wine season and honouring the feast day of St. Martin. In recent years, our organizing committee has been dedicated to infusing sustainability into different aspects of the celebration. From venue selection to transportation, waste management to catering, our focus remains on minimizing environmental impact while maximizing the enjoyment of this event. Through collaborative efforts and innovative practices, we aim to inspire others to embrace sustainable event organizing principles and contribute to the collective well-being of our community and planet. What makes the project unique is its collaborative approach involving industry experts, including the Budapest Convention Bureau. By influencing event planning practices, it contributes to reducing the industry’s overall ecological footprint.
